TRAINED BY SHANE

I was recently hired to do a logo/ t-shirt design for (my new favorite client) Seth, who was interested in making shirts for his brother Shane. I immediately liked the idea as he wanted a sort of heraldry crest with the words "Trained By Shane" on it, flanked on either side by two griffins. Sweet! On the front of the shirt he wanted the same crest but with "TBS" incorporated in some way. The end result:

About a month ago an old employer, ( my first ever employer, in fact ) Rodney, contacted me about doing a logo for his "new" restaurant O'holleran's. The "new" part was actually a remodel he was doing to a restaurant he'd been running for some time as well as changing the name to simply "O's". To complete the vision, he commissioned me to create a logo that would encapsulate the look and feel of the not only the eatery, but also the surrounding area. Located on the Oregon coast, O'holleran's is a long established dinner spot with a reputation for good food without pretension. I wanted to do something that hearkened back to the days of hand-painted signage, and sore fronts of Main St, USA. After the initial sketch, we did a few revisions and a couple color tweak to arrive here:
